Get a job in Health & Social Care (Leicestershire)


This course will help you learn more about the wide range of roles and specialties in the Health & Social Care sector and prepare you to apply for jobs where you can make a difference.

You'll discover the right role and career path for you, receive training to become a competitive job applicant, and get a feel for what a non-clinical role in a hospital looks like

By attending this course you have the opportunity to apply for:

  • Admin roles in physiology, neurology and occupational therapies
  • Domestic stores assistants roles
  • Reception area roles
  • Medical records clerk roles

WHO: Young people aged 18-30 who are motivated and ready to work!

WHEN: Taster Day: 8th September || Main programme: 20th September – 15th October

WHERE: Both in person and virtually (take part remotely from home using your phone or computer!)


Week 1

We'll introduce you to the NHS and working life within the hospital.

Weeks 2-4

You will begin comprehensive employability training and including apprenticeship learning sessions. You will be taught about hospital terminology and learn about the wide variety of roles in the NHS and how to progress your NHS career. You will also receive tailored support with each step of the application and interview process.

We will be helping you to find vacancies that match what you're looking for and suit your experience level and guiding you throughout the application.

Don't forget!

  • The programme is eligible for young people aged 18-30 who live within a commutable distance for jobs in Leicestershire.
  • You must be available to attend the whole programme when you sign up
  • the sessions will take place online and face to face, please ensure you have access to microsoft teams on a preferred device (i.e. phone, laptop or tablet) and an awareness of your transport links
  • Be prepared to start work immediately. Before you sign up, think about how the current government measures will affect you and the people at home with you.

After registering your details, a Prince's Trust Executive will give you a call to check that you're eligible for the programme (i.e. you're aged 16-30 and ready for a new job) and confirm your place.
