About the NHS Laboratory Assistant Role:
This role will support the NHS's work in fighting Coronavirus. Your main tasks will be to remove sample containers from their packaging, record that they have been received, place the containers in trays, and prepare them and the lab machines so that analysis can be carried out.
Everything is carried out in a safe, Covid-secure environment with personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
WHO: Young people aged 18-30 who are motivated and ready to work!
WHEN: Monday 29th March - Friday 9th April (23rd/24th March taster days).
WHERE: Take part remotely from home using your phone or computer via Microsoft Teams!
HOW THE COURSE WORKS:
During the two week programme from 29th March to 9th April, you will learn about life in the Health and Social Care Sector, the role your applying for, responsibilities, and career pathways currently available. You will also:
After your interview, we will call you to let you know whether any of the employers wish to progress with your application. Even if you have not been selected, you will get feedback to help you improve!
We will continue to support you in all your applications. You will also have access to a dedicated Prince's Trust employability contact to coach you on your journey to employment for up to 6 months.
Once in employment you will be offered free mentoring support during the first 3 months of employment to help you reach success in the role, as well as financial support with DBS checks and travel expenses.
